Hola! Carroll High School's Spanish Club focuses on learning more about the Hispanic culture, expanding our Spanish Vocabulary, community service, and new experiences outside of our comfort zone! We work for what we want; for instance, we have held fundraisers for our t-shirts (which we now have, yay!), and we give up our lunch time so that we may be able to have the club. We learn related dances, celebrate related holidays, and go on Hispanic themed trips. We want to learn more about the Hispanic culture, and that's one thing we have in common. That's enough.
To join Spanish Club, please see Ms. Irondi or Shatoyia Jones for a form.
Meetings are held every Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch time.
Please see the forms below for rules, regulations, and application.
ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLY TO EVERY MEMBER SO BE SURE TO READ AND UNDERSTAND BEFORE JOINING.

UPDATES
[LA BAMBA] Many that take Spanish have learned the song "La Bamba" by Ritchie Valens, and so does the Spanish Club, though many of them knew it due to Spanish class. Día de los Enamorados Mason Jars and Cupcakes for sale by the Spanish Club! Selling them was a little difficult at first, but once someone got a taste, they always wanted more! Thanks to Ms. Irondi for being an amazing chef! The first field trip for Spanish Club has FINALLY been taken! The club traveled to El Jarrito, a Mexican Restaurant on Lamy Lane. From what I hear, the food was muy rica with big portions. The students ordered (and attempted to order) their cenas y bedidas in Spanish. Everyone got to know each other and had a fairly great time! [FUNDRAISER IDEAS] - CUPCAKES - They were highly successful, and we thank all who supported us! I know I definitely bought plenty. That could explain the few pounds I seemed to have gained (haha). They were made by our very own Ms. Irondi, Chef, educator, and adult supervisor of Spanish Club. Talk about multi-talented. We really appreciate her for all she has done. -FASHION SHOW- Took place on December 17 in the Carroll High School auditorium. It was amazing! Everything went smoothly and the student body seemed to enjoy it. Fellow students rapped at intermission, and we literally sold all of our concession. Thank you everyone for your support! [COMMUNITY SERVICE] The "Teens for Jeans" Drive has been an absolute success! Thank you everyone who have volunteered and contributed to the drive. About 50 pairs were donated total in about two weeks. AGAIN, THANK YOU! [LAS FIESTAS] -EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS- -POTT LUCK FIESTA- |
